There were life's lessons to be learned from this movie that both kids and adults should apply. A thoughtful and moving story. Just dragged a little here and there but good enough to get a B+. A decent family film.

Doesn't live up to the hype

It never really lived up to all the hype from other viewers. It had a lot of parts where it dragged on, too slow. But I give it a big plus for it's main "message" of -- there's nothing like stepping up to the plate for a lifelong friend and putting your own interests aside for the sake of a genuine friendship! BRAVO for Wimpy Kid for that!!!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
