Great movie for the entire family!!

Our entire family of 5 from our 75 year old grandmother, to our 10 and 8 year old daughters truly loved this movie. It is a rare combination of sci-fi and love story and both story lines work seamlessly. It never dragged on and it was always engaging. There are fight scenes and some bad language but it did not frighten our girls who usually don't like violence. The storyline was fresh and new but totally believable. I highly recommend this film to all ages.

Great for tweens!

Both of my tween daughters loved this movie as did their friends. The music, and choreography was fantastic. The actual acting scenes at the beginning were slow for me as an adult to sit through although all the kids seemed enthralled. It did pick-up and develop nicely and become much more enjoyable for me. The colors were vibrant and the singing and dancing were truly fantastic. The production value was definitely worthy is being on the "big screen". I am happy that I got to see it and my kids LOVED it. I am sure that they will see it many many times more. Good luck to the actors, I hope that they have wonderful futures. Congrats!

Good entertainment for kids and parents

This movie is well worth your time and your kids time. It manages to both entertain and educate kids on historical times. It shows life from a young girl's perspective so that our kids can relate. It showed the sad truth without being too overwhelming for children. We all loved it and highly recommend it.
