The movie kept my attention for the two hours...there was lots of political intrigue to pay attention to...but the characters were just okay. It didn't seem there was any depth to them. I'm glad I went to the early show instead of paying full price for this one but if I saw it on TV, I would watch it again.
I saw the midnight show and it was fun...the crowd was really into it and there were lots of great scenes and one-liners...it just wasn't quite as shockingly good as the original...not sure if I just knew the characters better this time and wasn't as impressed or if it was because of the less-than-inspiring bad guys. Either way, it is a big screen movie to enjoy at the theater (this will not be as good at home later) and I will go see it again as well as tell others too see it...like I just did.
I know that is so typically the response when they make a movie from a book but in this case the book was WAY better. There are missing scenes, odd interactions, and odd pieces (like a 12 year old driving)...it just doesn't come out as smoothly or as interesting as the book. Entertaining but not adictive as a series.
A very funny and yet still grounded in reality movie. Another Meryl Streep success as well. If you are part of an "extended" family...you will find something to laugh at in this movie. ANd those of you who aren't can just laugh at us some more.
The movie is as good as all the talk about it. I was very impressed. Saw it in 3D which wasn't a must but it was still easy to focus and I never got that blurry feeling. Story was good with many subtle underlying themes...effects were excellent...another big hit by James Cameron.
I suppose this is just more of the same for the other reviews but if you are still reading...this movie was excellent...funny and heart-felt. The characters were just too good not to love.
Go see this movie and feel good about the difference we can make to others when we treat them well.
I liked the story and the interaction between the characters but they are really pushing the PG-13 barrier with all of the innuendos this time. I thought this would be a movie you could take the kids to but I am glad I saw it without them first.
Fun movie, great action and the rest of the audience loved it too-lots of reactions, just leave the young ones at home.
I thought the movie was a blast. It was funny, action-packed and had some good character interaction. There were so many one-liners, innuendos and cameo appearances, you need to pay attention and the old fans of the TV show will love it. I'm still not used to the all digital Hulk but they have come a long way and there wouldn't be any other way to do it and get the action sequences they do. You can see the Marvel comics team's influence in the story so much more than the last one. I thought Iron Man was better but I would see it again if I had the chance.
I had read the book while waiting for the movie to be released and like so many others, I was disappointed at how the movie veered off the book storyline. Susan never had a romance with Caspian...that just distracts those of us who know the story. The movie was well done though and effects were excellent...not cheesy at all. I would recommend it but unlike the first one, I would not see it multiple times unless it came out on cable for free.
