Besides being an amazing accomplishment in technology and fascinating to watch, the story offers several messages relevant to our times that should get everyone thinking:
Do we treat our planet and each other with respect? Does might make right? How can we all surive together without war?
I was very moved by the story and especially the ending. Our heroine knows her Jake is not really the body of the Avatar but loves him for who he is inside. Now that's a message for all of us!!
