Well told story

A good movie catches your attention with flash and may have some good acting. A great movie tells a story and makes you care enough to pay attention. Unstoppable was a great movie with heart-stopping action and heart string tugging character development. Every side story is used to flesh out the real story of what was at stake in this main event. By the end of the movie, one identified enough with the characters to feel for them. It was a great ride!!!

CRASH for romance

This movie was excellent. It was similar to the movie CRASH in that it showed how actions can have consequences in the lives of others. Valentine's Day just focused on romantic interaction/consequence. It was an enjoyable ride with a happy ending. The DVD will be played every Valentine's Day from now on...

Basically a great movie

I've seen this one twice and it was as exciting the second time as the first. The story is interesting with well defined motivations for the characters' actions. The interaction of the characters is believeable, entertaining, and well acted. For Star Trek fans, there are enough references to the original canon and explanations for the deviations to keep it acceptably accurate. The action is believably choreographed and visually stimulating. The directing was excellent in that the story had a continuous flow and every scene added to the telling of the tale. I hope that there will be a sequel with the same team.
