The plot was a bit too predictable, but it was fun to watch. There were a few great lines and Dustin Hoffman was great in his far too brief appearances.
Toy Story 3 is a fantastic movie. The script is great. The animation is what we've come to expect from Pixar. And, the 3D is subtle (most of the time) and very well done. The story line kept two adults engaged for the entire movie. Fortunately, the trailers and reviews hadn't given away that much. Some young children might have a problem with one scene, but we would take out grandchildren without any concern.
While many of the voices behind the characters are very recognizable, they don't intrude on the story. This movie is about the script and not about the actors.
We cried, we laughed, and we easily let ourselves get lost in the movie. It was great. After all, movies are about an escape from the real world even if the message (and it is a strong one) is very applicable to our every day lives.
This movie is one you shouldn't miss. The actors are great. They deliver a wonderful story is a very believable fashion. Sandra Bullock shows she can do a lot more that we've seen before.
