Far Better than Expected

I really did not go with any high hopes for this movie. I love the old speed racer where he speaks and his mouth does not move - timeless. So to have read some of the reviews - such as one I read where it said that the movie could not make up it's mind whether to be a cartoon or a realistic portraysl (if you will) of Speed Racer - I really went with no expectations except my daughter wanted to see it.
The graphics are amazing. I totally loved it.
However, that being said, I love Mario Kart too - and if you took Mario Kart up a few levels you would have Speed Racer (the movie) - so - did I like it. Yes. Would I recommend it - of course.
Now I am waiting for the Speed Racer game to come out :)
