Going into this movie I wasn't really expecting much to be honest. I just didn't know if Rob P. could break out of his "Edward" role. The movie had that pull you in factor. I found areas of the charaters that were pushed too far, but the characters were relateable for the most part. The ending left you breathless with what I could only call SHOCK. Another review was offended by what they deemed capitalization on another tragedy this may be fact but if it offended the movie ultimately did what it was supposed to do and that is touch you.
My Husband and I went to this movie over the weekend and found it boring. The plot did not have anything solid. It for lack of a better word Jumped around and we felt that we really didn't care what happened to the main character. We had no idea how the villain tracked the main character down and we don't know why their was a second jumper even brought in because his explanation for being there was about one minute of dialogue. They also could of done something more with the girl. We could figure out some things but where did she really fit into the plot??? It was unfortunately a disappointment and the character development was one dimensional and the plot very holey. it is a rental at best. Great concept bad on delivery. They left it open for a sequel maybe it could redeem itself???
My husband and I went to see this movie over the weekend and we both liked it very much. Morgan Freeman was excellent as the level headed man dealing with an life and death situation. Jack Nicholson played a terrific hot head and hard nosed man who at first is unwilling to go silent into that good night. The characters balanced each other perfectly and their reactions to the same fate were dramatic enough to pull you in and make you want to know more. I loved this movie not only for the well rounded characters but the plot that moved along with out losing you out of boredom or confusion. Go see it and let it affect you.
