Surprisingly good for a Threequel

I must admit that I had fairly low expectations going in, but Ice Age 3 is actually pretty good. It has a focused plot, well-paced action, and is just the right length at an hour and a half. It's just a short, simple, entertaining summer kids' movie--it doesn't overreach. The animation is great, and I was happy to note that the non-3D version that we saw didn't look like a 3D movie with the effect stripped out. Add in some laugh-out-loud moments and a few fun, quotable lines, and we have a winner. My 9 y.o. would love to see it again and would've rated it 5 stars.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
