The first few scenes had me worried - they were pretty forced and unnatural, especially when Donna (Meryl Streep) met her friends on the dock.
But as soon as they started the Dancing Queen number I was hooked and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the movie.
I was very surprised to find myself crying as Streep sang of her mixed feelings watching her daughter grow up and leave her. Struck close to home for me. I was also impressed with Brosnan and Streep - especially in the scene right before the wedding.
Definitely worth seeing!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
