Apart from the couple spots where it was just obviously fodder for the 3D, they did a good job with translating this from book to movie. Look at it as a separate entity, and you'll be fine.

How far the franchise has come from the beginning... So very good, and heartbreaking at the same time.

Enjoyed more than the first movie, preferred this director's "vision" of the novel in translating to screen. The vampires' movement looked sooo much better in this movie, didn't just look like people on wires moving their legs.
