Although the best movie thus far (in my opinion, of course) is Prisoner of Azkaban, Half Blood Prince is one of the best movie in the series.
It's definitely a movie targeted for teenage and young adult audiences. Emotions run high and low, there's quite a lot of "snogging" as the British put it, and comedic timing is up to par with the ever growing and bettering cast. It does lack, however, the battle royal that the book made a point of playing at towards the end. Also, the darker theme Rowling gave in the book was slightly overshadowed by all the humor.
I recommend it though, it was brilliantly directed and filmed. I'll even venture to see it again while in theatres.
