It's best not to have reread the book just before seeing Deathly Hallows Part 1. The changes and deletions the director made will distract you from enjoying it fully, although I felt that which was changed wasn't essential to the story. The film is well done. Visually it is true to the reader's imagination, and certainly amply dark. Not a film for young children. It will be hard to wait till July for Part 2. The ending of Part 1 was handled well, but definitely makes one anxious for more.
