I've been a Michael Jackson fan since I was about 2 years old. This movie comes as both a balm to the wound his death inflicted on my heart, and as a sad reminder of what we've lost. It was such a treat to see him where he was most comfortable - on stage. To see him animated and energetic and very much involved in his work was exciting. It was a triumph, a laugh in the face of those who portrayed him as a washed-out, drug addicted has-been. This movie was proof positive that Michal was still very much in charge. With my broad range of tastes in film, I've been reluctant to pick a favorite movie. I believe I have now changed my mind. "This Is It" IS it, for me.
