I was so disappointed with the adaptation of HP and the Half Blood Prince, so I was a bit worried at how they would adapt the final book. All I have to say is Bravo!
I really enjoyed the first part of Deathly Hallows. They embraced all of the emotional aspects of the first half of the book. Added a few scenes not in the book, but kept important aspects of the book. Also, I think the "cut off" to end part one was the perfect place.
For those who have read the books, you will understand all of the "moving" and "camping." For those who have not read the book it can be a bit confusing. My husband did not read the books, but he enjoyed the movie a great deal as well.
All in all, I think they did a great job on adapting the first part of Deathly Hallows. I am looking forward to the finale in the summer.
As with all of the other movies, I enjoyed Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I was a bit disappointed that the movie left out some of the scenes from the book, but It would be impossible to get everything from the book into the movie (hence the four star rating). It would have been nice to see the battle scene in Hogwarts. While I liked the ending, I thought it should have concluded more like the book. It was nice to see humor in the movie. It was a good mix between intense situations and humor. I look forward to the remaining two movies.
