This movie was hugely successful, because it surpassed being good in its genre. I went in expecting a fun "comic book" story with some action, but got a really good, wildly thrilling movie in any category. Ledger WILL most likely get the Oscar. I was riveted to my seat, and with 30 minutes or less to go, I had NO idea how it was going to work out...I kept thinking to myself when I wasn't tensing every muscle in my body...this is really clever! It was much darker than I expected...not a little kid's film...this gets under your skin. I left the theatre at 2:45 am and was WIDE AWAKE!!! Yeah man!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
