Good Start, then off on a tangent!

The Movie begins with a nice premise, and then veers off the mark. Academic freedom is being attacked on many fronts, one need only look at the global warming debate to see another area in need of exposure. The movie then abandons this interesting premise and goes on a tirade against evolution and its proponents. I find the lack of objectiveness Ben Stein shows in the film to be well beneath his usual standards. Finally, I feel the movie slips from being a dialogue to becoming propaganda in the final half hour. Ben Stein uses the horrors of WWII Germany and the misguided reliance of the regime on Darwinism to validate genocide. This changes the whole movie into an emotional plea and frames evolution supporters as somehow facilitating a modern day emergence of eugenics. Shame on Ben Stein
No, I do not recommend this movie.
