So I went into this movie with somewhat low expectations. I knew the movie was going to be amazing on its own, but I thought I was going to be disappointed in relation to the book. I was dead wrong. Sure there are things from the book that weren't really shown in the movie, but they were pretty minor details in my opinion.
The only thing I didn't like in this movie was some of the character portrayals. The girl playing Lavender was just not who I pictured Lavender to be. I'm not alone in that. Then Narcissa...well first of all it looks like she has a skunk on her head and that's just disgusting. Then she looks really old and not as pretty as the book made her out to be. The casting definitely could have been a little bit better there...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
