Took 5 year old...and he LOVED

...and wants to see it again. I have to admit I was a bit worried about bringing him initially (mainly due to the 3 hours in a theatre), but only a couple of times did he ask, "how much longer," and they were mainly at the loves scenes.
If you do this with you child, make sure you explain to him or her the difference between reality and movies, and have your child reiterate back that they understand the difference.
Some swearing, and themes could be confusing for someone that young, but we went to an early show, so people didn't mind me whispering to him at some moments that could be confusing
Oh, I enjoyed it as well, and it is one of the more beautiful movies I have seen.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
