Forget the over used plot device, forget the the musical score. What I took away from AVATAR was a sense of wonder and awe that lept off the screen with a cacophony of visuals. A half hour into the film I had to tell myself that the world James Cameron created was not real, because it was so beautiful and intricate. 3D is the way to go to watch this film. Some might say the plot is simplistic and the characters a bit shallow. I might agree if I felt the point of this movie was to change our world view. We go to museums to see works of art and this is just what this movie was. Why do men climb mountains? Because they can. Why did James Camron make Avatar? Because he could. Thank you, I was very entertained!!!
