Great Effects, Good Message, So So Plot

Drove a few extra miles to see Avatar in 3D Imax and it was probably worth it. The technology will probably revolutionize movie making for the big screen action movie genre. My family definitely did discuss colonialism and greed and similar issues on the drive home, which are the core issues of the film. The plot was fairly simplistic, noble savages versus evil corporation and military goons. Likable lug wins feisty girl's heart. My personal pet peeve was that the scenery was so fairyland-like. Way, way too Disney-esque. But all this said, it was an incredibly immersive experience, well worth the price and the time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
