I am not a batman fan, but my teenage son wanted to see this movie. I did not regret it at all. It was more of a psycho-thriller action packed movie with good acting. Heath Ledger was unbelievable, what a shame that he has passed, but this performance will live on forever and he will be remembered for the excellent work he did in this picture. He played the joker mad-man with such a wicked coldness, yet remained true to the psychopath that he was where you almost liked him. He was truly mesmerizing. The special effects were mind boggling and were well displayed. I would recommend this movie, in fact my husband now wants to see it now that he knows that I have nothing but praises for this picture. Excellent work from the director, actors and all involved. Worth the money and the time, and it is worth seeing on the big screen. *****
The movie had some laughs and actions scenes. I took 9 kids to see this movie and two adults. The kids laughed when we didn't. and we laughed when they didn't.. Don't expect to be thrilled or screming with laughter. All in all it was a little better than your typical summer movie.
too similar to the original. The action scenes, story line and the scenarios of the Book of Secrets, are are just well dressed-up copies of the first movie National Treasure, not to mention some "scene stealing" from other movies like Raiders of the Lost Arc and Mummy. However, I still enjoyed it and would recommend seeing it. A nice night out with the family.
