ok, first, i never read the book.. that said, there was so much hype around this movie, there were such high expectations, that i figured i wouldnt like it.. i am happy to say i was wrong.
Yes, the vampires are HOT. yes, the love story between the undead & the human was intense, but all that aside, i thought the story was original & well written & a good movie..
i would recommend this movie to anyone that feels that they need to escape the horrible movies based in reality.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I am embarassed for George Lucas.. this movie was a big swing & a HUGE miss. I really wanted this movie to rock & sadly i was very disappoined. the story has nothing to do with Star Wars cannon & the "acting" is very weak. i do have to agree with another reviewer, this is perfect for kids, who need the constant action to keep their attention, for me, i wanted more of a plot.
great for a 99 cent bin. not for $8.00 in a theater.

looking at Heath Ledger, knowing he is gone.. makes it hard to think that this could very well be his GREATEST role ever!!
Christian Bale isnt bad as Batman either.
this is an all arounf great movie!!
