Better than some, worse than others

I went to the midnight showing of the movie, and by the time it was over i wasnt sure if I was clapping because it was over, or because it was a good movie. It seemed like the longer the movie went on, the weirder it got - all coming to a head at the end.
There just comes a point when too much is too much. When Indy's sidekick starts swinging through the trees tarzan style and has the monkeys attack the badguys, it just gets a little overboard.
There are some good special effects, but again, they can be a little overbearing. And some of the stunts are more commonly seen in a loony toons cartoon than an indiana jones.
This was better than the Temple of doom, but not nearly as good as the others, I think. All in all, its a good movie but I wouldnt go expecting anything epic or groundbreaking.
