I enjoyed the first movie quite a bit. It was a simple action flick with robots fighting one another and the fate of the world on the line.
I'd say this one was mediocre at best. The plot makes no sense, and the new villain they add in doesn't really make me want to hate him in the same way Megatron does.
The fight scenes are poorly shot, it's hard to tell what is going on then it will end with a slow motion shot of the killing blow.
The campy humor was still good, but this time around I felt like a lot of it was forced.
All in all this movie reeks of trying to take all the good elements of the first movie "to the next level" and failing.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
