Overall, the CG effects were great. More realistic than the 1st movie. However, there was a lot of silliness, inappropriate content, and profanity that could have been replaced by character dialog. For example, none of the new transformers (with the exception of the two "smart" (stupid characters) cars) actually said much in the movie. The location shots were amazing (Petra, Egypt, etc.) The first movie was more serious; this movie fell short.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
