Solid Ledger and Bale

The good: Loaded with action and humor. Lots of darkness and Ledger makes a character, in this case The Joker, like few could ever do with any character.
The bad: Starts a little slow and cheesy. Too much going on for one movie. The guy who plays Harvey Dent and Maggie G. are tolerable.
Bottom line: You must see this movie. Even though it's 2 1/2 hours, the time flies by.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
