Poor excuse for a George Clooney movie - all of the action was part of the previews and I could have saved the money.

It's OK

After arriving home after seeing the movie with his dad, my son's response was that it was just OK. He said that much was left out and things were added that were never in the book at all. And although the book was his favorite, the movie was his least favorite. My husband, having not read the book, enjoyed it more than my son.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
