What a surprise!! We expected a fluffy comedy and we got so much more. Superb acting . . . not really news with this wonderful cast . . . and some heavy "stuff" mixed in with the humor.
Sure the story line was a bit stretched but we enjoyed every moment. Laughed hard and also shed a tear or two. Judi Dench is incredible, but she has to be to stay ahead of these other performers. Highly recommended.

what a cast . . . and they all seemed totally natural in their roles.
interesting dialogue and excellent acting. lots of twists and turns and, well, FUN!!

It's a documentary . . . it's a comedy . . . it's a real life, fast-paced drama . . it's all that at once and it's very good!!!
We think that it helps if you "grew up" with Ms. Rivers and have a bit of her history in mind. But the bottom line is that we laughed and cared and learned a good deal about a comedic legend --- even if she rejects that designation. And, at 75, she still ROCKS!!!
