As an avid fan of "Twilight," I would say that I wasn't disappointed in the movie. However, I did feel it went fast and if you didn't read the book you wouldn't care to much about it. There is a certain view you have if you read the book and then go to the movie, and for me that view was just amplified, not ruined. I felt like the Cullen family aspect was toned down quite a bit but I also understand this is only the first movie about the first book. If they continue with the franchise I see no reason why any "Twilighter" would walk away disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
