Characters stare and stand about the scenes. Back up cast don't show enough emotion. The best character is the father but since he is there only once in awhile, movie is not good enough for my recommendation.

Beautiful Experience for True Movie Fans

I think this movie delivers what it is supposed to, action, great characters, and a sense of wonder. I am a little upset that with the length of the movie, the story doesn't allow the corporation to be fleshed out, and the apelike grunts (insert dialog) from the military commander were boring to hear. I would take off half a star for that, so that still gives the movie 4 1/2 stars. In this day of movies that don't live up to the hype, it's nice to know James Cameron has done that and more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
