Great Summer Popcorn Flick!

I think the bad reviews from the critics are just due to them not "getting" this movie. One has to realize it's based on a kid's cartoon, and the Wachowski bros. do an excellent job of adapting it to live action. I get the premise, and I get what their intentions were with the hyper-colorful look and hyper-moving action sequences. It's definitely a car racing movie unlike any we've ever seen before, and I give props for the groundbreaking, original, and imaginative racing sequences. Additionally, the story has heart, the acting is superb, and the comic relief from Spridle and Chim-chim was great.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
