Not Worth the exposure to Trauma
The primary story here is the harsh reality of the lives of children in the slums of India. While there is a hopeful story here about resilience in the face of institutionalized bruality towards impoverished people, especially children, you have to get through a lot of trauma and heartbreak to get there and it's a very narrow thread.
I do not understand why this movie has gotten such wonderful reviews and is held up as inspirational.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
