Didn't expect to like this movie so much; but, when I saw the movie poster, I couldn't resist the urge to know more about it. Another "The Player" for sure for its pictorial painting of the Hollywood. The casts were great as well as a surprising Tom Cruise who was out of his mind but in a good way.... Recommend gladly this movie or to own it on DVD! What a good laugh! Don't know how Ben Stiller came up with such stupid and delirious story, but it's tha BOMB! CONGRATS.
The movie started out really slowly. The chemistry that I once fell in love with between Rick and Evy wasn't there anymore as the new Evy was quite boring to watch and no fun at all; I 'm not a fan of British accent but surely her accent was awfully translated to the bid screen. Rick lost a bit of his superb along the way and it shows in the movie. As for Alex O'Connell, nothing to say much as the character tries to live up to his father's behavioral legend!!! Finally, Jet Li....I'm so disappointed by his role; the presence was there, but where was the fantastic Jet Li that everyone knew from his previous movies? He just had a mimic of Arnold Vosloo's character resurgence! The special effects were okay even though I expected more like the previous movies. The overall movie was disappointed as well as the music that looked more like an Indiana Jones music rather than a Mummy movie! The only good and expected role was by John Hannah....always as funnier as the other movies.
I really enjoyed this movie because the story was like none that I've seen in the big screen. Hancock is a hero despite himself with a self-identity problem where nothing matters for him. Saving lives don't come easily for him even after rehab. The overall is touching, funny and sarcastic...Good job again Will Smith to entertain me on this 4th of July holiday!! U still rocks!
The action pack was woaw; the storyline was well presented even though it was more about one side of the story......otherwise this film was mind-blowing especially compared to what's in the theater right now. Angelina Jolie was impeccable as always, a good job from James McAvoy as well as the nice devilish Morgan Freeman's character!
The whole cast were greatly entertaining and well chosen. I never saw the original "Get Smart" in my life, nor that I ever heard of it, but this movie was fun to watch. Too bad there were only one short funny scene with comedian Terry Crews, this guy has a funny face expression! And Masi Oka was deeply funny!
After "Lady in the Water", I was expected another mystical movie, but instead I got lost into what really happened. What did happen? The story was weird but was sustainable only if there were going to be an ending explanation of the whole chilling story. Mark Wahlberg was greatly inspiring in his teacher role, but Zooey Deschanel's character was spooky high or something...I couldn 't connect to her at all. The whole movie was watchable, but disappointing compared to M. Night Shyamalan's previous movies. To be revised, Sir!
The plot of the story was ridiculously well thinking as well as the voice cast. I was expected more from the dialogs though and especially the end...a bit too wrapped up in my opinion! But overall, the movie is watchable and enjoyable. Too bad I had to come to see that movie with impolite and undisciplined kids around talking all the way through the movie....maybe it's time for a separate screening for adults to enjoy the greatness of such animation which was by the way well made as well as the music!
I really enjoyed SATC; it was sassy, funny, and realistic. We all expected what was going to happen but not that way! It was pure pleasure to see those four embarking in another NYC adventure! The circle is now completed.
I never really followed the comic while a child nor the circumstances that made the character Iron Man! This movie is definitely different than Spiderman or Superman; it's funnier, darker, more human skills oriented than the films stated above. It was like watching Transformers , but with a dose of sarcasm from Downey's character. I didn't think that this movie was going to stay in mind, but it did. Seeing the end of the movie, there's gotta be a second sequel!!!!
