Having been a fan for quite sometime and looking very forward to this film I did not leave disappointed. While I could have done without some of the music, I thought the characters were well adapted and well played and the story flowed nicely. It was a bit long, but necessarily so in order to play out the story line. The way they implemented the lead-in story through the credits was well done. I would highly recommend this film for anyone enjoying an action flick.
I didn't really think it wouldn't be chick-flicky, but there had been some discussion about it possibly being good for guys and girls, but one look at my husbands face through this flick would answer that question with a resounding "no." It was cute and I hate to admit that we do do the things we do, but it is not a movie for guys. Maybe it could help guys who are dating, but even then I can imagine a guy walking out of this movie, being on a date having absolutely no idea what is safe to say. It was a fun watch and good for a laugh or two.
Even though they are definitely "secondary" characters in the movie, at least in regards to their positions, they play it beautifully. The chemistry between Dustin Hoffman (Harvey Shine) and Emma Thompson (Kate Walker) is almost magical. The only thing I didn't like about it was that they followed "the formula" and I felt they really didn't need to in this one, but you'll have to check it out for yourself!
It's hard to not like a movie with the cast of characters in Doubt. The story was very well adapted from the play, however it is a bit slow and drags at times. Meryl Streep was fantastic and the story was one that, well...left you with doubts.
This is a cute girlfriend movie and will definitely bring the tears at a couple of key points. The story is ok, but Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are just adorable in it. However, I have to admit that neither seem to be all that bright in it. Was hoping for a little more, but still cute.
The story was cute enough, but the 3-D is...wow! The polarized glasses are comfortable too :)! I loved seeing all of the upcoming Digital 3-D previews too. For years I had been hearing about this and they're right, it's something else. Make sure to check it out!
There are some laugh-out-loud moments, but overall this was far from Jim's best. I didn't get the impression that it was him so much as the overall storyline though, but was missing something. The idea of being a no-man and turning into a yes-man is fine, but poorly executed in this one, Jim Carrey at least made it watchable though :).
All of the characters are back in this Madagascar trip to Africa. The penguins are a riot! It's not as great as the first one, but there's also not that much different from the first. It was still pretty cute though.
Craig proves himself as Bond yet again and I loved the fact that he's going against M and even thought there are a few lulls and the plot's a little hard to follow at times it had that Bond action. While continuing the story from Casino Royale, it had a bit more action and was again a good Bond experience.
Not sure I can quite give it 5 stars, but the cast certainly brought this newest version of the Incredible Hulk up a notch. Liv Tyler did a great job and looked stunning, Edward Norton, always great and a quick nod to the cameo by Lou :). The action sequences were awesome and the ending almost has me at the 5 stars, but I have to stick with 4 since there were times I think they went a little overboard on this one. If there were 4.5 stars I would give it to this flick. Definitely a watch for comic book and action fans.
