Between Disney's new 3-D technology and Jim Carrey they couldn't miss! My husband says they have to win some kind of award for animation, special effects or something!! Jim Carrey was superb, as always.
This version was not too scary or too sweet, but just right for kids and adults. Even our 23-year-old daughter loved it.
I cannot see other 3-D movies, but at Disney World I can, so thought I would give it a try. Disney must have some secret because theirs is the only 3-D I can see!
My husband is the Star Trek fan, not me, but I remembered more of the backstory than he did. It was interesting how much of the story they changed and did not undo as we thought they would in the end. We recommend it highly!
As expected, Disney outdid themselves with fantastic cinematography! You felt as though you were there! The scenery was beautiful! Even the sad parts weren't bad - the cheetah chasing down his prey was almost like a choreographed dance - amazing. Too bad about the father polar bear, but even that was not graphic. The only thing we regretted was that it was not on an IMAX screen. Maybe for Ocean? Hint, hint....
Seen through the eyes of two eight-year-old boys, this movie really brings the truth of the holocaust home and hits you right in the heart. It shows the way a german family could be torn apart by conflicting loyalties and that they were human, too; even the cruelist of them.
We saw Wall E yesterday and Disney/Pixar has done it again! It was fantastic! How they manage to make the robots believable and draw you into their love story is just amazing. I recommend this to everyone. In fact, the theater had four adults to every child!
