I really enjoyed this one. Depp was great as usual. I enjoyed Bales role as Melvin Purvis maybe a little more than Depps Dillinger. The Purvis character was a little more complicated than the Dillinger character. He was chosen by Hoover to bring down Dillinger. Purvis had to do his job, had to make sure Hoover looked good and also had to try to stay true to himself. Very little or no time was spent on these characters backgrounds. This is who they are don't worry how they got there. I enjoyed that angle.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie was excellent in every way. Some might find it a bit long but it moves very fast.
All the actors did a terrific job. Most focus on Heath Ledger, and it was a brilliant performance, but all the actors did a wonderful job. I am a big Gary Oldman fan and found his performance very enjoyable.
I would recommend this to anyone.
