Disappointing script

I'm very disappointed. Star Trek used to be about the writing, and I had high hopes for summer movies after Dark Knight. But this script was turned in dripping wet just before the writers' strike, and it shows.
It's a lot of fun, and I generally like the new direction, but the writing is really mediocre.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
