I admit I am probably not this movie's target demographic- male and under 60 but I was happy to go with my wife to see it as Iknew she really wanted to see it.
First off- if you do not like musicals, ABBA, or seemingly serious actors breaking into song be forewarned that you will probably not enjoy this picture.
The good: Amanda Seyfried can sing and act. The gorgeous young actress does well paired against the older experienced cast and can hold a tune.
The gorgeous Greek scenery and the Greek chorus added some nice highlights.
The bad: Why Pierce Brosnan thought he should do a musical is a mystery and really as far as film making goes the editing was atrocious. The end credits are funny if a bit wince inducing.
The bottom line: It is what it is- a light musical made by some big name actors who wanted to enjoy 6 weeks on a gorgeous Greek island.
