The Dark Knight follows the graphic novels to a tee! It is dark, edgy, chaotic and dispels our childish notion that all bad is bad and all good is good.
Seeing the movie in IMAX exceeded expectations. To see Hong Kong, and parts of Gotham (Chicago) on full resolution on the big screen too my breath away.
Oh and yes, the performances were legendary.
