I must admit that when I first saw the trailer, I was only mildly impressed. I'm not really a comic-to-movie fan. But let me just say "Wow!"
I am probably one of those few people who had no idea who Iron Man was. I never read the comic books, nor even heard about it except in passing.
This movie gives a great background story for the super-hero and a hillarious and often heart-string-pulling look into the man in the suit. It's full of one-liners that are sure to be sprouting up in main-stream conversation for a while.
The action sequences are fast-paced yet easy to follow. Except for the beginning of the movie, there is very little bloodshed, and even that is minimal and appropriate for the scene. I found it very funny that the only thing that made the younger children in theater scream was the "Incredible Hulk" trailer!
See this movie if you are an Iron Man fan. See it if you are a comic book fan. Just see it! It's amazing!
