He's too old and grumpy

The action was great. The plot was a little hard to believe but so was the Temple of Doom. But what saddened me the most was Indiana. His charisma is gone. That little boy in him that made him so different from other action heroes has been replaced by gruffiness. I realize that he is 65 years old but that is the problem with the movie. This movie should have been made 10 years ago. But the egos of Lucas, Spielberg and of Ford caused so much bickering between them that they could not agree to anything and when they did( probably out of desperation of Ford's age) it was too late.
Karen Allen was too old and it Indy barely wanted to kiss her in the end. Obviously, they were trying to hand the reins to Shia LaBeouf to be the next Indy but it won't work.

So go see the movie just to be entertained and see the wonderful scenery. But if you are looking for that charming, handsome, funny Jones then you will be dissappointed.
