Thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, as always in action pictures, a fee plot points defy logic, but the surprises made up for it. Great photography. I love Simon Pegg in almost anything thee days.
You can't help but like the four musketeers as individuals, but they suffered from a bad script. I didn't think it was too cool to damage one of the oldest and greatest churches in Europe. The 2nd in the previous series with Michael York as D'Artagnan was a much darker movie, so it will be interesting to see if the sequel follows suit. Maybe the movie will send younger people to the history books to research Versailles and The Hall of Mirrors.
Good action, liked the effects, but the drop off ending was concerning. Are we really supposed to think that after all the issues on the Golden Gate Bridge the authorities would let them disappear in the Muir Forest? Or is that for the sequel? It really felt like the scriptwriters didn't know how to end the movie.
I like Ryan Reynolds and was disappointed in the plot and editing/effects. I am not sure there was any advantage to the 3D components (like many movies today).
If you liked Vanessa and Franco in this, go back and see them in 1968's CAMELOT. They still have it. The boy playing Charlie was brilliant, because you liked him in the end. The scenery was staggering.
