Great Movie!

You have to be aware that this is essentially a remake of the original 'Karate Kid' movie. It's set in a different country and the kid is younger, but plot is nearly identicaly.
Given that you can get over this, it is absolutely worth your time. Jaden does an awesome job and actually performs like 90% of the kung fu in the movie. Yes, he's going to learn kung fu. Jackie Chan also does a really good job in his role and the pair end up being really enjoyable to watch. Go see it, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

For a James Cameron flick, it was quite the disappointment. Definitely not the epic film most people make it out to be. The plotline was rehashed and unoriginal.
That being said, the visuals were brilliant. Good for a few hours worth of entertainment. So if you don't mind realizing that you already know the ending, 5 minutes into the movie, then go see it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
