While I loved the first film, this Narnia seemed to do nothing more than pull me in, take my money, and send me on my way. I didn't really feel like it ever took off from the ground and became it's own film. It relied so heavily on things that happened in the previous movie, that I had a hard time enjoying the present film. The plot seemed very redundant to every other fantasy story I've ever read or watched and the action was very slow. There was much more slow-building than fast-moving. While I don't discount the movie as a waste of time--far from it--I don't consider it a classic in any way. It didn't do for me what the first film did. If you're looking for a good family film with action and comedy all the way through, check out Speed Racer. If you have an older audience, try Iron Man. Both are much better if you have to choose. Either way, we are off to a good summer movie season start.
