This installment of the Batman series returned the collection of movies to its roots as seen in the first two movies Batman and Batman Returns. With Bruce Wayne dealing with his internal conflict, who he really is and what he his calling is, and also with personal relationships and how they affect not only him but Batman as well.
Dark story lines, maniacal characters played with no fault by Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart round out this movie to be the best since the original Batman movie starring Michael Keaton.
Escaping from bright colors, comedy, and thin stretched story lines such as Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, make Dark Knight the best movie in the series to date for the real Batman fans.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
