The books have gotten longer, requiring more to be cut out of each to fit in a movie up through this sixth installment in the series. This disappoints some of us book fans, but no one can deny that this movie is beautiful to watch, still exciting even though most of us know the story already, and very fun due to the well- developed personality of the characters.

I took my daughter and some friends to this movie for her birthday, and it worked out great. The movie didn't feel as long as it was, which meant that it kept the attention of my nine and ten year old companions AND mine, too. It had more cutesy one liners than the first Narnia movie, attracting the movie goers under four feet tall, but had a lot of action, good acting and, course, interesting plot developments to keep taller movie patrons happy. Great choice for kids, families, and fantasy fans.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
