I expected so much more from this movie, after all the hype and previews that ran in the theaters for months. It was okay, but not worth the cost of watching it in 3D Imax. None of the characters had muc personality. We saw it on Christmas night and had hoped for another Avatar type production. No Way. Young teens might like it, but it was not very exciting.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I had read the book a couple of years ago, so had some idea what the storyline entailed. It didn't follow Nicholas Sparks' book completely, but was well done. The scenery was beautiful and the actors expressed their emotions well. John and Savannah made a fantastic couple and I was sad when they were apart. I would recommend the movie to friends and family.

One of the most amazing films I've ever seen. I was mesmerized from the very beginning until the final credits rolled. I loved the Avatars and absolutely detested the villain ex-Marine. The special effects were phenomenal. I felt that I had been personally transported to the Planet Pandora. I would go and see Avatar again today if I could find the time.
