If you are thinking about dragging your boyfriend to this flik, you should tell him it is a vampire movie. The whole romance thing is nice, but the movie does not do a great job of selling that angle. Apparently, if you've read the book, the reason for Edward's standoffish nature is clear. Your boyfriend has not read the book! You'll need to explain a lot as you leave the theater. If you want your boyfriend to be like Edward, realize that Edward wants to eat Belle and he is a quick tempered jerk with poor people skills.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
