I've always been a Guy Ritchie fan, however, I wasn't sure how Sherlock Holmes and his style would mesh but. I am happy to say that he was able to mix his style with a Sherlock Holmes story and deliver a homerun.
Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law turned in wonderful performances
The plot was every bit as intriguing, suspenseful and true to the Holmes legacy as one might hope; an enjoyable and largely faithful adaptation of Holmes.
And the SFX were perfect for the film, establishing a believable setting, adding to the enjoyment of the film, never distracting or leading one to believe the film was just an excuse for SFX.
Overall very entertaining, and worth seeing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
